Foodie Review: Pound by Todd English at Robinson’s Place Manila
Pound by Todd English
Specializes in burgers and sliders with a variety of cheeses and add ons to choose from. This restaurant can be mistakenly identified as one of the classy restaurants inside Robinson’s Place Manila. From the ceiling down to the floor, this place is a sure hit for those who are looking for a warm and classy restaurant. Surprisingly, dishes on the menu are very affordable.
A full glass exterior gives an idea of how clean the place is. No single litter seen and a relaxed dining ambiance can be noticed from the outside.
The black and white checkerboard tiled floor and white brick walls give a classic touch while tables, chairs, and leather seats on both sides give a modern and chic vibes. A catchy copper mugs on the table adds elegance to the place.
Food we already tried (we promised to try other burger on our next visit)
Backyard Cheeseburger (house ground beef patty/cheddar cheese/iceberg lettce/tomato/onions) Good Ol’ Fries and FOODEE iced tea. Bun is soft and savory beef patty best partnered with fries. Free FOODEE iced tea makes a great deal!
Caramelized Bacon Alfredo Pasta and Slider comes with a free FOODEE iced tea. The pasta is Al dente, the sauce is no special to me but the crispness of the bacon bits topped on the pasta is noticeable.
The slider is the best option if you are not a big fan of burger but just want to taste it. You can order burger slider separately @ ₱ 155 2pcs.
There’s is also rice meal on the menu. My daughter tried Double trouble for her lunch. Todd English burger patty and crispy chicken with garlic rice in a sizzling skillet drizzled with peppercorn gravy then Topped with sunny side up egg.
Crisp baby romaine lettuce, croutons, perfect egg, anchovy and creamy Caesar dressing. Creamiest salad ever tasted. The perfect egg and adds to the creaminess. The freshness of the lettuce can be felt on the first bite.
Crispy Goat Cheese Salad: Fresh mixed greens, baby heirloom tomato, Raspberry vinaigrette, deep fried cheese goat and ravioli. I love the fruity taste of this salad and the crispy goat cheese. You will love the variety of tastes in the ingredients.
Dessert please! For the sweet tooth, we ordered something cool and gooey and thats the TE Sundae (brownie/vanilla ice cream/caramel sauce/chocolate sauce/rock salt).
OMG Milkshake (choco brownie/ chocolate ice cream/whipping cream/chocolate sauce) is perfect for dessert.
- well-prepared burgers, appetizing from the looks to the taste.
- A variety of add ons to choose from (five different types of cheese or extra crispy bacon)
- Sauces choice are endless (mustard relish, TE Sauce, truffle cream, apple aioli, TE sweet spice, cilantro aioli and truffle ketchup.)
- Fresh ingredients were used
- Affordable specially the classic deals
- Not too crowded. Enough spaces in between seats.
- Relaxing place to dine with family or friends.
Overall, we had a nice dining experience at Pound by Todd English Robinson’s Place Manila and we highly recommend it.
